![]() Notes:
Canadian Usage Televisions and telephones are a normal feature in Canadian homes, and have been for decades (actually, it almost goes without saying that telephones are a ubiquitous feature). In recent times, as prices drop and features rise, computers and other high-tech items are making inroads into Canadian households. In 1994 (latest StatsCan figures), 25% of Canadian homes had a computer, and 17% of those households (or 4.25% total households) had computers with access to the Internet or related online services. More recent surveys conducted in 1996 place this figure even higher, but the estimates are rather wide ranging (8%, 17%, 23%).
